Setting science based targets - to 2035 and beyond
Wed 10 May 2017, 08:30 – 10:30 BST
Science based targets establish emission reductions that support the global action required to limit dangerous climate change. Given the scale of that challenge, it is vital that businesses and industry understand the role that they need to play.
230 companies have publicly committed to the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTI) and many more are exploring how to set a target within the next two years.
Setting science based targets makes sense when considering the challenge we collectively face. But setting them also brings multiple benefits companies. SBTs can help drive emissions reductions, energy and cost reduction and satisfy key external stakeholder and reporting requirements.
Our workshop takes a look at how to approach SBTs and the longer term objectives and actions that are required to meet your commitments.
