We’ll guide you through each stage of setting up a Domiciliary Care Service and Registering with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We’ll cover everything you need to know to get established, get registered and begin your journey as a provider of high quality care. We’ll also tell you about the challenges that new services can face and how you can deal with these.

I do not currently work in domiciliary care or have any knowledge of care, can I still attend?
Yes, the workshop is suitable for anyone who wants to set up a new Domiciliary Care Service. Not all people setting up the service will have experience of working in care. The workshop will cover the qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge requirements of Registered Managers (the person who will manage the service).
I have not run a business before. Is this a problem?
Not at all. We will cover what you need to know to set up a new business.
Can I transfer the booking?
You will need to contact us if you wish to transfer the booking. We require names of people attending in order to admit people to the workshop on Zoom. If we don’t have the correct names of people attending we will not be able to admit them to the workshop. Can I take notes during the workshop?
Yes, we encourage people attending to take notes as we are unable to send copies of the presentation.
Can I record the workshop?
No, the workshop can’t be recorded. We do not make recordings either.
Will I receive handouts?
You will receive the following documents:

Will I be able to ask questions?
Yes. You will be able to ask questions throughout the workshop and there will also be time at the end.
