Setting up a Small School or Learning Centre
Sat 9 December 2017, 10:00 – 16:30 GMT
SETTING UP A SMALL SCHOOL OR LEARNING CENTRE
A growing number of parents and teachers are looking for new ways of educating; ways that will motivate and inspire each and every child. Concerns about mainstream schooling with its relentless focus on targets and testing are leading many to ask whether there might be better ways to prepare children for life in contemporary society. Small schools and learning centres are able to offer a more personalised approach to learning based on the needs and strengths of each child.
This workshop will support parents and teachers wishing to set up their own educational project. It will cover:
- Finding a building
- Recruiting staff
- Raising the funds
- The nuts and bolts of getting started
Join us for this participative workshop to explore the options and work out the best way to proceed.
