Setting up a successful transition programme


Transition to reception or year 7 is an exciting time for many children and their families. However, there are some children for whom it can be very challenging. This course which looks at the common issues around both key moments and those specific to reception and year 7.


Part 1 - Setting up a successful transition programme


The aim of the programme is to build successful transition programmes that promote success for learners, their families and staff at the start of the new academic year.

This workshop will share ideas, prompt considerations and give you the tools to help young people successfully join your setting.

Part 2 - Reviewing and providing additional support to those who are struggling with transition


This workshop will allow further personalisation of the support for those children who are struggling with transition. We will share ideas, prompt considerations and give you the tools to help support the most vulnerable young people successfully join your setting.
