Are you a counsellor or psychotherapist who's thinking about setting up a private practice, but don’t know where to start? Are you wondering if you’re really ready to take the plunge? Do you want to get past some of the blocks that are holding you back?
Then this workshop is for you!
We’ll look at:
- Legal and ethical essentials to have in place, including GDPR, safeguarding and risk procedures, clinical wills and clear contracting;
- The “business” of therapy, including: setting fees, policies and processes, record keeping (financial as well as clinical), support for your practice, and marketing;
- Mindset issues that could create blocks to your success, especially around money, being seen, and being “good enough”;
- Taking care of yourself as a therapist in private practice.
There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions, and Emma will use examples from her practice to encourage and inspire you with yours. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have clarity about what you’ll need to do, as well as the motivation and enthusiasm to get started.
