Hand Sewing Repair and Button Making Workshop with Snowdonia Gear Repair and Relic Plastic
This workshop will combine a beginner-friendly class by Snowdonia Gear Repair to teach you the essential stitches and techniques needed to fix common clothing issues with a chance to make your own buttons out of recycled plastic with Relic Plastic!
What you’ll Learn:
- Basic hand stitches and a chance to practice with your own sampler to take home
- How to choose the right thread, needle, and technique for different fabrics
- Relic Plastic’s full under-one-roof process from waste collection to final product
- How Relic Plastic’s machines work while making your own recycled plastic buttons
All materials provided (optional: bring your own item to discuss and practice on). You’ll leave with practical repair skills, a sampler for future reference, buttons you have created out of recycled plastic and the knowledge to extend the life of your wardrobe—one stitch at a time.
No sewing experience needed. Spaces are limited, so booking is essential.
