Introduction to Machine Sewing Workshop


Workshop Overview:

This hands-on beginner-friendly workshop is designed for anyone interested in learning the basics of machine sewing. Participants will gain confidence using a sewing machine, understand essential techniques, and complete a simple sewing project by the end of the session.


Workshop Objectives:

  • Learn the parts and functions of a sewing machine
  • Practice threading the machine and winding a bobbin
  • Understand basic stitches and tension adjustment
  • Sew a simple project such as a tote bag or fabric purse using fabric normally destined for recycling/landfill


Target Audience:

Beginners with little to no experience in machine sewing, crafters looking to develop a new skill, or anyone interested in DIY sewing projects.

Daytime sessions are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month with an early evening session on the 1st Friday of each month.

Age 12 & over - under 16s must be accompanied by an adult
