Introduction to Machine Sewing Workshop
Workshop Overview:
This hands-on beginner-friendly workshop is designed for anyone interested in learning the basics of machine sewing. Participants will gain confidence using a sewing machine, understand essential techniques, and complete a simple sewing project by the end of the session.
Workshop Objectives:
- Learn the parts and functions of a sewing machine
- Practice threading the machine and winding a bobbin
- Understand basic stitches and tension adjustment
- Sew a simple project such as a tote bag or fabric purse using fabric normally destined for recycling/landfill
Target Audience:
Beginners with little to no experience in machine sewing, crafters looking to develop a new skill, or anyone interested in DIY sewing projects.
Age 12 & over - under 16s must be accompanied by an adult
