What you can expect from your INTRODUCTION TO BLOCK MAKING MASTERCLASS

You are booking a Sew with Nelly Bea MASTERCLASS which focusses on the skills you will need to create a bodice and sleeve block which matchs your body shape. Your master class will be held on Saturday 21st February from 10.00-12.30.

Let’s face it, ALL of our bodies are different, so, creating a block which can then be adapted into styles of your choice can be a good alternative to adjusting a commercial pattern. This workshop will focus on creating the initial BLOCKS. There will be a workshop in the second half of 2025 which looks at creating styles from your block.

What you will learn:

• How & where to measure your body
• Plotting your measurements to create your block
• working with a Patternmaster

Materials & Equipement: What will be provided and what you will need to bring:

I will also provide all the materials, resources and equipment you need to complete the workshop.workshop! As you will be taking your bodice measurements please consider wearing a fitted vest style top so that its easy for you to take your measurements accurately.

Additional information:

This is going to be a BUSY workshop! I am not planning a scheduled break but please feel free to bring drinks and snacks to keep you going during the workshop.
