Event description
Join me on this working with STRETCH course to crease this lovely swing style tunic with panel detailing and inserted pockets.

About this Event

What you can expect from this online course:You are booking a series of FOUR 2hour sessions which will run each Wednesday on 4th, 11th , 18th and 25th of November from 10am-12noon. During our time together we will be completing a swing style knitted tunic with panel insert detailing (McCalls M7871). It has two different sleeve and length options and, can either be made with out without pockets. The full details can be found below. This project is for those who have a little experience with knits or those who are confident sewers - it is NOT a beginners project- but it's a great project to extend your skills.

What we will be making:During this course we will be making a SWING STYLE TUNIC. To build your sewing skills the focus techniques for this project are

• Working with stretch fabrics

• Using stretch interfacing (see notions below)

• Perfecting the side insert and pocket which is a feature of this pattern

• Setting in a sleeve

• Creating a stretch hem using twin needles

Each week I will take you through the next steps and you will be able to sew along during the session and ask questions.

How it works:We will be using a platform called Zoom for our meetings. You will need to set up a Zoom account to be able to access the online sessions.Once you have booked your course, you will be able to access a page here, on Eventbrite, with the Zoom link & password for this course. I will also email you a couple of days before the course starts with the direct Zoom link and pass code for the course so you don't have to try and find it again!

For each session you will need to login to Zoom and use your link and code to join the session. Each session will be recorded so if you can't make the session you can watch it at your convenience.

You will need to prepare for the course by having the following pattern, fabric , haberdashery and equipment available to use at the start of the course.

Materials: What you will need for the course:
