Learn or refresh your skills in hand sewing 3d objects, using decorative hand embroidery and beads to personalise your toadstools and add optional scented fillings. One free hot or cold drink included in the ticket price.
A few details about the workshop
In this workshop we'll use templates to cut fabric shapes, learn how to hand sew pieces together, how to turn out and stuff 3d objects, and how to add embroidered or beaded accents. If you wish there'll be an option to add a hanging string and rice scented with essential oils to your toadstools to turn them into delightful room/closet freshners. Depending on how quickly you sew you should finish at least 2 toadstools in the workshop and can take home materials to make 2 more. You'll also take home the skills and inspiration to make other kinds of hanging decorations for Halloween, Christmas, Easter and beyond!
All materials will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own favourite sewing supplies and tools.
The workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those wanting to refresh their hand-sewing skills. Please note, you will need reasonable hand/finger mobility and eyesight.
