Join expert pattern maker and sewing tutor Alison Wesley for a wonderful workshop where you will be guided over 4 hours to make an original 'slouchy bag' that you can use all year round.

This is a great workshop for beginners and those keen to build their confidence in sewing and to achieve a professional finish. You will leave the workshop with a fab bag that you can use again and again.

So that everyone can choose a lovely fabric that suits their taste, we ask you to bring your own fabric and thread to the class. 

The best fabric to use is a non stretch medium weight woven fabric. An old patterned curtain can be ideal for this - and think about a contrasting fabric for your shoulder strap, such as denim. Please see below for the fabric measurements*. You will use our sewing machines and equipment to make your bag.

An excellent class for anyone wanting to learn and gain confidence with machine sewing - the beginning of an exciting journey into sewing construction with lots of techniques that you can use for all sorts of future projects.
