About this event

The workshop:

Children will learn everything they need to know to make their very own soft toy. Using simple hand-sewing techniques and child-friendly materials, they will be guided through the process to create something completely from scratch during this 90 minute workshop. All materials will be provided. No prior experience is needed, just a love for making and being creative. The workshop will be lead by Carly, an experienced teacher and SENDCo with over 20 years of experience working with children.

The Event:

The Playground Project is a one-of-a-kind pop-up event championing sustainable fashion and design for children. Six pioneering sustainable childrenswear and design brands, are joining forces to host a unique pop-up weekend that redefines how families shop for kids’ fashion and footwear. Taking place at KIOSK N1C in Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross from 10am-5pm on Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 August, this collaborative space will bring together a mix of high-quality sustainable kids wear. Expect a mix of everything from handpicked vintage & preloved, reworked fashion & modern, consciously designed footwear & clothing all under one roof. With a shared commitment to circular fashion, sustainability, and creativity, The Playground Project offers an inspiring alternative to fast fashion, making it easier than ever for parents to shop consciously without compromising on quality or individuality.
