Event Details

NEW for 2018

I am hosting 'SEW'CIAL Saturdays every month at my studio in the famous Jewellery Quarter Birmingham. Come and create in a relaxing, pressure free environment using quality reclaimed and recycled fabrics. Each product will be unique to you and you can add your own finishing touches, that way no one product is the exact same.

All fabric, equipment and refreshments will be provided. (There may be options to make in alternative colours based on what fabrics I have in)

You can also get a discount if you book onto both of the workshops. Contact me if you are interested in booking on both dates -

The first two to start off 2018 will be:

  • Contemporary Aprons - Saturday 13th January
  • Modern tote bags - Saturday 27th January

Examples of both products are on my instagram page

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is pay and display on street parking.  The studio is also a couple minutes walk from the Jewellery Quarter train station on Vyse Street.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Email me and I am to answer your questions as soon as I can.

Have a great day

Feed My Creative

Feed My Creative is a ‘Creative Arts Studio’ a social enterprise with an aim to bring out the creativity in young people and adults.

We are a project that emphasis's sustainability by showing people how they can reuse clothing, accessories, soft furnishing and furniture therefore reducing waste.

We identify the type of products that people would be interested in making such as everyday clothing for themselves, accessories or re-upholstering furniture they cannot afford to replace. This will help their money go further if on a limited budget. It will also help to up skill some people for work and address social isolation.

The project gives people the freedom to learn in a ‘No Limits’ environment, learn basic skills and the means to know how to create things for themselves at a relatively low cost.

In order to provide this service, it is vital that we can generate income from various sources to continue providing a quality service.

All our products are carefully made by hand and as we only use recycled or repurposed materials each product is as unique as the next.

The project is run by Janet who has 30 years of sewing and designing experience.  Janet is also a textiles teacher and runs various textiles projects outside of the classroom.
