Sewing Bee 'Sew your own Wardrobe': Tops Masterclass
Thursday, 26 June 2014 from 19:00 to 22:00 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Experience BBC 2’s The Great British Sewing Bee right here in Nunhead with Tessa Evelegh, author of the best selling book that goes with the show and Anne Kelley who worked with her. Here’s your chance to work closely with Tessa and Annie to create your own garment from the recent Sewing Bee book as they explain all the techniques, guide you through tricky bits and help you to achieve a perfect finish that would impress Sewing Bee judges, May Martin and Patrick Grant! Once you have paid for your place, we’ll contact you for your body measurements so we can prepare the correct pattern for your size. We’ll also offer help with fabric choices, should you need it. Choose from Draped Top or Simple T-Shirt. Draped top is a real starter project and a good one to choose if you’ve never sewn before. You can even make it from an old favourite silk scary. The Simple T Shirt is easy to sew as it has no fastenings etc. You’ll learn how to make and apply bias binding. You’ll need to be sewing-machine confident to do this neatly.
