Overview

Sewing classes designed for Women who want to learn Garment Alterations, Dressmaking, and Restyle Clothes for Fit and Style.

✂️ Discover the joy of sewing and the freedom of creating clothes that you love. These are Sewing Classes for Women who want to learn and develop the craft of Sewing Clothes.

Suitable for the Complete Beginner through to Experienced Intermediate Sewists.

Over the session(s), you’ll learn:
👗 The Sewing Basics – How to set up and confidently use a sewing machine, handle fabrics, and make clothes from simple patterns.
🧵 Creative Clothing Skills – Learn hemming, seam types, shaping, fabric manipulation, adding zips, buttons, darts, style features, and professional finishing touches that elevate garments.
👚 Alteration Know-How – Twaek, tailor, repair, or up-fashion existing clothes so they fit your body & personal style beautifully. Think heirloom items & all your clothes that are nearly right.

Perfect For: Beginners through to intermediate Sewists — no previous experience needed.
Group Size: 1-3 Maximum of 3 Sewists per session.

  • Fabrics, patterns and threads are available for projects and beginners.
  • Bring your own sewing machine, pins, tape measure & scissors.
  • Sewing Machine Hire is available via pre-arrangement.

Materials, patterns and equipment available. As Sewists progress their skills and learning, personalised projects and alterations will be encouraged with fully guided tuition on every project.

Fabric and thread choice can be added at checkout, so everything will be waiting for you when you arrive.

Come along for a few hours of creativity, enjoyment, achievement, confidence-building — and walk away knowing you can make (and remake) clothes that truly feel like you.

It is recommended to book 4 sessions, once a week, or over 2 days. This is the approximate time it takes to complete a garment from scratch. You’ll leave with new sewing skills, heaps of confidence, and the inspiration to start transforming your wardrobe, sustainably and stylishly. (Warning: sewing and altering clothes is addictive!)

I look forward to teaching and sewing with you.
