Sexpression LDN University
Saturday, 26 October 2013 from 11:00 to 15:00 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
More than ever, sexual health is of major importance to university students. With this in mind, the need for unions to provide comprehensive, interesting, informative SHAG (Sexual Health Awareness and Guidance) Weeks is greater than ever. Sexpression LDN is an initiative from KCL Sexpression and ULU, hoping to help unions devise SHAG Weeks that help everyone. The two-hour session will talk about innovative ideas for SHAG Weeks, problems and red tape that may arise, and tips on how to organise and publicise them, as well as getting those all important freebies that Freshers love so much! We will also be seeing fascinating talks from Daughters of Eve, an anti-FGM organisation, and Abortion Rights, a campaign group for the right to choose.
ULU is wheelchair accessible, if you require childcare at the venue please email firstname.lastname@example.org before 22/10/13
When & Where
Hollaback! ULU Is a London wide cross campus program to tackle sexual harassment on campuses. It calls for Universities and Students’ unions to sign up to the Hollaback! ULU charter - to work together to combat sexual harassment on campus, implement a zero tolerance culture, encouraging victims to 'hollaback' using clear and accessible reporting systems – to say no to victim blaming and yes to support services. It also involves improving methods of reporting sexual harassment and giving the tools to students and staff on campuses to give better support to victims and tackle campus specific issues head on.
