Description

In the third seminar of the Critical Discourses in the Academy seminar series, we are looking at sexual violence and power in university settings. Our speakers this time are:

  • Dr Anna Bull, 1752 Group/University of Portsmouth >> Staff Sexual Misconduct in Higher Education: an issue of Power

  • Chryssa Sdrolia, 1752 Group/Goldsmiths, University of London >> The Semiotics of Policy: The Power of an Impotent Narrative

Both speakers are associated with the 1752 Group, which is a UK-based research and lobby group working to end staff-to-student sexual misconduct in higher education.

The seminars are being supported by North West Doctoral Training Centre and ArtsMethods@Manchester, and are open to all and free to attend. Book early to ensure a place in this seminar!
