About this event:
Our Community Development Worker and Short-Term Caseworker from East London Rape Crisis will be sharing their expertise in supporting women aged 18+ who have been subjected to sexual abuse either recently or in the past. This training will aim to increase practitioners understanding of sexual violence and the tactics that perpertators use, it dispels common myths about sexual violence and explores the impacts and affects of being sexually abused. The trainers will explain more about support services and options available to survivors of sexual abuse.
About the Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy Services at nia:
We offer free and confidential support to survivors aged 11 years old and over and over who live, work or study in East London, who have been subjected to any form of sexual violence at any point in their lives.

• To understand the impact and effects of sexual violence
• To learn more about the reporting process
