This course is being delivered as part of Sexual Violence Awareness Week

Course Objectives

• Define sexual violence within intimate relationships
• Consider how others may identify if someone has experienced sexual violence
• Explore how to deal with disclosures of sexual violence

The course will include the following content:

White Ribbon- The meaning, history and background to the White Ribbon campaign. What campaigns have run? Who is involved?

Key terms- Discuss and define a range of associated key terms including sexual violence and intimate relationships.

Signs & Indicators- Consider how others, especially males, can recognise if another male has displayed sexually violent behaviour towards a female.

Dealing with disclosures- Begin to understand what it might be like to disclose experiences of sexual violence. Explore how we can support others when making a disclosure.
