Join us for a talk exploring the legacy of supercomputer designer Seymour Cray. We’ll

delve into the early machines he built and the supercomputer companies he founded,

examining key supercomputer design features and their practical applications. We’ll also

hear from other users and workers at Cray Research.

About the Speaker:

Clive England worked at Cray Research during the 1990s, a time when supercomputers

were evolving from superfast processors to super-capacity systems. As a software service

engineer at a hardware company, he was responsible for installing, tuning, and

troubleshooting these multi-million pound systems. Currently, he is researching the

history of Cray-branded supercomputers.

We have a small cafe/ shop onsite, for souvenirs, sandwiches, cakes, hot and cold drinks and snacks. There is a range of T-shirts, books, mugs, gifts, build-your-own kits, framed prints, and lots more available to buy. Sales help fund the museum's development, and will be invested in new displays.
