SF and Mindfulness: What's the Connection?
Did you know that you already have moments of "Mindfulness" - even if you've never even heard the word before! In this 3 hour workshop you'll discover what those moments are, appreciate how energising and refreshing they can be, and learn practical ways to have more of them. This will help you
- become even more perceptive and responsive as a coach,
- reduce stress levels whenever you wish, and
- make life-in-general more enjoyable and satisfying.
We'll also make some connections between research in mindfulness, neuroscience and SF, giving us some clues about how SF is so effective.
The workshop is led my Shakya Kumara, who has been practicing mindfulness since 1989, and Solutions Focus since 1992. He is the developer of the iFLOW model of SF Time Management and the MAGIC model of SF Negotiation. He is part of Mark McKergow's SFWork team, offering training and coaching to leaders and managers in organisations such as the NHS, Nationwide Building Society, National Australia Bank and others around the UK and Northern Europe.
Shakya is also the founder of Brief Mindfulness, helping busy professionals get started with mindfulness and reduce stress even in the midst of pressure, challenge and change. Clients include Bupa, Sheffield University and the NHS, as well as many independent training and coaching professionals. For more information, see www.briefmindfulness.com.
