A 10 mile route which we have chosen to re-create the CFT (Combat Fitness Test). The CFT is a test which all soldiers have to undertake once a year in their service as evidence they are fit and able enough to cover ground fully laden with all their kit required to eat, sleep and fight. The CFT is also required as one of the initial tests of UKSF Selection and is the base level requirement for any potential UKSF soldier to enter onto selection.
We have re-created this CFT in the form of a 10 mile route across stunning countryside on the Clywdian Range in North Wales. This is a very arduous undulating route which invoves steep acsents and decents. You must complete this route to be awarded your custom SF10 finishers medal.
The route for the 10 mile event runs across the Clwydian Range in North Wales. It forms part of the Offa’s Dyke path. This particular section has been chosen by the DS for its undulating hill paths via "The Jubilee Tower" that are easy to navigate over to enable you to concentrate more on the physical rather than navigational aspect.
