Please note there will be PT sessions on the Saturday so bring spare / dry clothing.

Overnight Camp (you will be expected to bring your own tent and sleeping gear). There are wash and shower facilities on site.
Day 2 SF10: A 10 mile route which we have chosen to re-create the CFT (Combat Fitness Test). The CFT is a test which all soldiers have to undertake once a year in their service as evidence they are fit and able enough to cover ground fully laden with all their kit required to eat, sleep and fight. The CFT is also required as one of the initial tests of UKSF Selection and is the base level requirement for any potential UKSF soldier to enter onto selection.
We have re-created this CFT in the form of a 10 mile route across stunning countryside on the Clywdian Range in North Wales. This is a very arduous undulating route which invoves steep acsents and decents. You must complete this route to be awarded your custom SF10 finisher's medal.
Those of you on Loadstone can also expect a little encouragement in places from the Directing Staff (DS). Enjoy.
Please note that there will be some surprises on this weekend that are designed to give you the experience from a UK Special Forces perspective and are also desiged to prepare Loadstoners for the rest of their series.
Location: The first day is situated on a stretch of land in Caerwys where the curriculum for the day will be based.
The route for the 10 mile event runs across the Clwydian Range in North Wales. It forms part of the Offa’s Dyke path. This particular section has been chosen by the DS for its undulating hill paths via "The Jubilee Tower" that are easy to navigate over to enable you to concentrate more on the physical rather than navigational aspect.
In August 2013 a small cadre of ex UK Special Forces (SF) soldiers organised a physical endurance event in the Brecon Beacons in remembrance of 3 men who had recently died while taking part in an SAS Selection course.
The event proved hugely popular amongst civilians, ex-military and serving military personnel, raising a significant amount of money for charity and bringing together a large number of like-minded outdoor orientated folk to challenge themselves by completing the infamous Special Forces Selection route named “The Fan Dance”.
“The S.F. Experience” was born…
