About the Forum

The next SFHA Procurement Forum will take place on the afternoon of 1st September at the SFHA’s office in St. Vincent Street, Glasgow. The Forum will take the form of a joint workshop with the Scottish Government on Procurement Strategies and Annual Procurement Reports.

Attendees will hear from Bill Watt from the Scottish Government on the objectives behind the requirement for bodies spending £5million or more per annum to publish annual Procurement Strategies. Bill will also provide some feedback on the first strategies published by housing associations in December 2016.

The main part of the workshop will then be a session for housing associations to look at the Procurement Strategy template and discuss how well it applies to the sector and whether there is scope for improvement and adjustment.

The forum will also hear from the Scottish Government on the requirements for Annual Procurement Reports. The meeting will also hear an update from Scotland Excel on procurement capability assessments (PCIPS) and from the SFHA and SPA on the SFHA Procurement Service.
