Event Details

The Scottish Game Developers Association is happy to present our next Edinburgh event. Join us on Friday the 8th of November in Codebase for an informal and social meet-up to connect people working or interested in animation. Whether animation is your hobby, something you would love to learn more about or you have years of professional experience in games, films or any other creative industry. Come along to meet fellow like-minded people and enjoy a friendly gathering with free pizza and drinks

Hosting us on the evening will be CodeBase Edinburgh.

As always, we will have an open floor for announcements before the panel kicks off. So if you have any news you'd like to share then feel free to come down and do so! We'll also be opening up to general networking after the panels.

Do I need to print out and bring by Eventbrite ticket?

No, we will have a guest list at the door and can check you in electronically. Please don't waste trees on a paper ticket.

How can I help?

Our volunteers are at the heart of our work and without them we wouldn't be able to deliver our events and activities. If you are able to contribute a bit of your time to help us run this event, or any of our other activities, please get in touch at scotgamedev@gmail.com or find us on Twitter.

Equally, we are always interested in talking to anyone who would like to sponsor our activities, whether for a specific event or more generally. Please don't hesitate to contact us at scotgamedev@gmail.com. Your support, in any capacity, would be greatly appreciated.

Scottish Game Developers Association

The Scottish Game Developers Association (SGDA) is a Scottish Charitable Organisation formed in 2019. It was created out of the Scottish chapter of the IGDA, which had been operating since 2011. As IGDA Scotland it proudly worked to serve developers around the country as one of the most active chapters in Europe.

As the SGDA, we are building on the work we have done over the last 8 years as IGDA Scotland. We are striving to enhance the profile of the game development community as part of Scotland's cultural heritage by raising awareness of the development video games development, and the role games play in society more widely. With regular meetings across Scotland and a thriving community, we provide a uniquely Scottish insight into the game development sector.

You can sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date with all the news about the SGDA and its activities, and please make sure to come out to one of our meetings.

Our volunteers are at the heart of our work and without them we wouldn't be able to deliver our events and activities. If you are able to contribute a bit of your time to help us run this event, or any of our other activities, please get in touch at scotgamedev@gmail.com or find us on Twitter.

As a newly registered charity, we are always interested in talking to anyone who would like to sponsor our activities, whether for a specific event or more generally. Please don't hesitate to contact us at scotgamedev@gmail.com. Your support, in any capacity, would be greatly appreciated.
