About this event
Running 30+ events since 2019, Games Talks Live events feature lightning talks interspersed with general networking over 3 days across Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow to encourage collaboration and communication between Scottish games developers, and networking with visiting publishers and guests.
** Staff of SGDA corporate members are entitled to free tickets, ask your studio for details **
Doors open at 4pm, with talks starting 5pm, interspersed with regular networking opportunities until the event ends at 10pm.
The events run over three days, one in each of Scotland's games hubs of Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow (E/D/G after each speaker signifies if they're speaking at all cities, or just one or two). The dates are:
- Tues 14th October; Edinburgh (Voodoo Rooms, 19a West Register St, Edinburgh EH2 2AA)
- Weds 15th October; Dundee (Beat Generator, 70 N Lindsay St, Dundee DD1 1PS)
- Thurs 16th October; Glasgow (Sloans Ballroom, 108 Argyle St, Glasgow G2 8BG)
The Glasgow event on Thurs 16th October will be livestreamed, with a dedicated online co-host running the stream and managing the Discord etc. Online tickets are free, and talks run from 5pm until 10pm UK time. Full schedule TBC

SGDA corporate members kindly sponsored the event, in which case all their staff are entitled to a free ticket. Anyone buying a ticket that works for a studio that subsequently sponsors the event can get a full refund.
The talks will be streamed live on YouTube if you're unable to attend in person; link available by signing up for a (free) livestream ticket, but there aren't hybrid meeting opportunities for those watching virtually.
Each evening will have an array of further speakers from local developers, visiting publishers and others to be announced nearer the time. Speaking sessions will be interspersed with networking breaks to encourage everyone to get to know as many people as possible and foster potential future collaborations.
The golden rule of the event is there should be no recruitment activity - even from companies that are kindly sponsoring / speaking.
