Learn how the heroic ballads and stories connected to the legendary hero of pan-Gaelic tradition, Fionn Mac Cumhaill (Finn MacCool) and other characters, can be traced and followed in the placenames, mountains and archaeological features of the Scottish landscape.

How can looking at a story, and the location in which it’s been situated, be valuable for understanding the complex wider history of the storytelling tradition?

This talk will be delivered in English with names and placenames in Gaelic.
