About this event

Music • Reggae

Shabeen Clubhouse is a one-day reggae celebration for Black History Month at Noiascape, West London. On 18 October 2025, the programme invites families, teenagers, and music lovers to explore reggae’s creative and social history through art, storytelling, and sound.

The day begins with a workshop for 13–15-year-old local schoolchildren, who will first visit Peckings Records, one of London’s most historic reggae shops, to learn about its role in expanding access to Jamaican music in Britain. They will then design their own vinyl covers in a guided collage workshop, connecting heritage with creativity. In the afternoon, a drop-in session will welcome participants of all ages.

Later, Reggaeology, a live conversation with Peckings Records and Professor Mark Byer, will share stories, rare tracks, and invite audience dialogue.

The day culminates in an inclusive sound clash, where anyone can bring their favourite vinyl of any genre to share.

Food and drinks will be served on a suggested donation basis to support running costs and community accessibility.

Free to attend, open to all, registration required.
