Act 4 takes on our tour of Shakespeare's London to explore Clerkenwell. In our previous walks we have looked at Shoreditch, Bankside and Blackfriars. Now join us as we visit the sites of two other Jacobean Theatres, The Fortune Theatre and the Red Bull, and walk through historic Clerkenwell, ending at Clerkenwell Green. During the tour we will come across Shakespeare in a number of places, but also learn more about Edward Alleyn and some of Shakespeare's contempories.
This walk takes two hours to complete. Food and drink are available in the Clerkenwell Green area. Clerkenwell Green is close to Farringdon Underground Station.
This walk starts outside the Museum of London on the highwalk, by the John Wesley Aldersgate Flame (closest underground is St Pauls or Barbican). Please check travel options at the Transport for London Journey Planner.
