Event description

Description

Now in its fourth year, Off the Map is a British Library partnership initiative with GameCity, which challenges full time UK students in higher or further education to make videogames, digital explorable environments, or interactive fiction based on digitised British Library collection items.

Last year’s competition was about Alice in Wonderland and you can read about the winning games here.

This year we invite entries inspired by either The Tempest, castles, or forests that have been used as settings in Shakespeare’s plays, as the 2016 Off The Map competition is associated with the British Library’s upcoming Shakespeare exhibition (15 April 2016 to 6 September 2016).

This event is aimed at participating teams and individuals taking part in the Shakespeare Off the Map 2016 competition. It is an opportunity to find out more about the competition and to ask British Library Curators about this year's sub-themes and selected collection items.

If you can't make this event, there is an equivalent session running on 24/02/2016, to book for that event go to: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/shakespeare-off-the-map-2016-meet-the-curators-2nd-session-tickets-20861148256
