Romeo and Julian
A short play by our Junior Drama Class
Our Junior Drama Class will be performing their version of Romeo and Juliet, aptly named Romeo and Julian. A bunch of amateur actors called the Winchester Amateur Dramatic Society (WADS) are competing against the Romsey Players to be the top dogs of local performers. It is their chance to shine by putting the famous Shakespeare Tragedy. But can this small-town club really pull it off? In true comic style the kids present a very dramatic play within a play.
The Shakespeare School of Discontent
A short play by our Senior Drama Class
Our Senior Drama Class have devised a piece about a bunch of school kids and their enthusiastic teacher who have to learn about the Bard. Are they interested in Shakespeare? No. So Miss Wolsey has to come up with a plan to inspire the kids to learn ending up with an adventure to Stratford-Upon-Avon. It doesn't exactly go to plan but will she inspire the kids? Each role is a famous Shakespearian female character. We see the characteristics of Titania, Cleopatra and Lady Macbeth in true teenage form.
