"O God, that I were a man! I would eat his heart in the market-place."
Led by Bard City’s Harry Waller, this interactive online workshop delves into the sizzling tension, verbal sparring, and emotional stakes of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.
Returning from war, a group of soldiers arrive in Messina—and with them come old flames, hidden secrets, and plenty of mischief. Beatrice and Benedick reignite their legendary war of words, while young lovers Claudio and Hero are caught in a web of deception that threatens to destroy them.
Through active, physical exercises we will explore:🎭 Wit and wordplay with Beatrice and Benedick🎭 The internal vs external emotional lives of the characters🎭 Honour, shame, and the darker undercurrents of this comedy
Our online workshops are fun, investigative and low-stakes. We know that not everyone can attend our London in-person sessions, and we want to make our offerings accessible to everyone, wherever you’re based. Come along and try one!
