Event description

Description

Discover the prolific Renaissance writer who may have co-written, re-written, or ghost-written several of Shakespeare’s plays, including the lesser known ‘A Yorkshire Tragedy’. The talk will also explore Middleton’s wide ranging works, from the depraved ‘The Changeling’ to the radically feminist ‘The Roaring Girl’.

The speaker will be Ben Prusiner, director of the upcoming production of ‘A Yorkshire Tragedy’ as part of the ‘Yorkshire Scandals’ double bill at Friargate Theatre 25-28 January. Ben previously delivered talks at York Explore about classical playwrights Ben Jonson and John Fletcher.
