About this event

This session is about trying out tools to excavate Shakespeare's text for as many creative opportunities as possible for actors and directors. You will leave this session with a bucket full of new or refreshed techniques, ready to tackle any Shakespearean speech.

During this 2 hour, small group workshop (6 people max), Emma will take you through a series of close reading and practical exercises to reveal creative possibilities beneath the surface of your chosen speech. Tickets from £30.00

All you need to bring is a pen and a copy of the Shakespearean speech that you can annotate. Further text excerpts will be provided.

The workshops will take place at the Arches Lane Theatre near Battersea Power Station, London.

About Emma Copland

Emma Copland is a Scottish theatre director, maker and facilitator. Emma is a recent alumni of the TDNI Invest programme, through which she spent two weeks with the RSC.
