In this workshop you will discover a potted history of the technique of Trapunto before you have a go yourself. Stitch demonstrations will be given throughout, with time to practice for those who need it, along with advice on colours of threads and arrangement of stitches. The finished piece will measure 4" (10cm) square.

A pack of materials will be provided for each student at a cost of £10 payable directly to the tutor on the day. There will be a variety of designs and colours containing all fabric and threads required. Participants should bring a simple sewing kit of needles, embroidery scissors and an 8" (20cm) embroidery hoop, with the inner ring bound in fabric/bias binding. Embroidery hoops will also be available on the day at a cost of £2 each.

Course fees include refreshments throughout the day, including fresh coffees, teas and a light lunch.

The workshop takes place in the Ground Floor Drawing Room. There is a flight of stairs from the main entrance with a stair lift.
