Sea Shanties at The Windmill 'Homeward Bound'
Hosted by Ovingdean resident Jo Goddard and Zach of Homeward Bound Shanties, this session is a chance to get together to sing in this amazing old building.
Some folks may know us already, we sing shanties at the Jolly Brewer Pub in Brighton , The Farm in Hove and the Ancient Mariner in Hove and many other pubs around Sussex.
Come join us - first we have a sing outside, then when we get too chilly, we will go up inside the windmill to continue.
- Free download of our big songbook https://heyzine.com/flip-book/c4d6dd2761.html
PRACTICALITIES: Dress warm as its cold in the Mill (the Mill is unheated). Do bring a folding camp chair if you like - we have a few chairs but not many. The windmill is a historic building with 2 levels - we will be singing upstairs and there are very steep stairs. Please take care on the stairs, sorry no dogs - except small shanty-loving assistance dogs - inside the mill.
Save your places on Eventbrite, then pay on the door. £5 waged, £4 concessions, cash or card. This includes the songbook, hot drinks (Coffee, tea, herb teas). £5 waged, £4 concessions, cash or card.
Seafront buses all stop close by: 12, 12a, 14, 14c, 27, 47 - get off at Windmill stop and head towards the Windmill behind the old café building.
