Shapes and Textures with Dr Andrea Hannon

Join us for this hands-on taster session where you’ll explore the playful possibilities of clay through slab-building, shape-cutting, and texturing techniques. Guided by our tutor, Dr Andrea Hannon, you’ll learn how to handbuild and experiment with surface design to create your very own mini abstract sculpture To take home.

This workshop is perfect for complete beginners as well as those looking to expand their skills and confidence in clay. You’ll be encouraged to experiment, try out different tools, and explore how shapes and textures can transform simple clay into something striking and unique.

Your finished piece will be fired and ready to collect in around four weeks, making it a lasting reminder of your time in the studio.

All materials, tools, aprons, and light refreshments are provided — just bring yourself and a willingness to get a little messy!
