Shapeshifters explores the intersection of plant life, fiction, and human emotion through macro photography and experimental electronic sound.
London-based artist Siteng has ventured through parks, marshes, beaches, mountains, forests, immersing herself in the textures of the UK's natural landscapes. Through her macro lens, tiny lifeforms – lichens, kelps, grass, grapes, wild flowers – are magnified into vivid, otherworldly beings. Her grotesquely beautiful imagery echoes organic horror, creating portals into her fantastical sonic storytelling.
Layering vocals with expressive synths, Siteng sculpts soundscapes that are both delicate and unsettling, translating fleeting natural moments into prolonged audiovisual experiences.
