Description

Private Art Education art tour at Tate Modern is covering a century of dramatic aesthetic and technological innovation in art 1900 – 2000.

Saturday, the 4th of November 13:00 - 15:30
Wednesday, the 8th of November 13:00 - 15:30
Friday, the 10th of November 18:30 - 21:00


2 hours art tour followed by 30min to 1 hour networking at the Tate Modern member’s cafe with the beautiful view.

IN THE STUDIO
Discover how art can reflect the circumstances and spaces in which it is made.
Investigate the processes artists use to make artworks and draw attention to the complex nature of perception.
Viewer’s experience of looking is becoming the integral part of the art piece.

INTERNATIONAL SURREALISM
See surrealist artworks made by the original Paris-based group (André Breton, Max Ernst, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró) and other international artists.

PAINTING WITH WHITE
Explore the philosophical, poetic and spiritual associations of white monochrome paintings.

LINE, SHAPE AND COLOUR
Contemplate the immersive power of large-scale paintings by Monet and Rothko.
Should art always be made by the artist’s own hand? Take a look at Bridget Riley's dazzling paintings and decide...
Explore the geometric abstract art created by the New Tendencies movement in the 1960s.
Simple shapes are used to create effects of light and shadow in the two works diplayed in one room by Ellsworth Kelly and Anish Kapoor.
