About this event

Sheffield

Join our in-person roadshow event to help shape the future of the social work and regulation. We are also holding events in Bristol, Birmingham, Newcastle and London.

This is your opportunity to directly influence our plans for the future, whether you’re a social worker, somebody with lived experience of social work, an education professional, social work student or one of our stakeholder partners.

Meet our teams and share your views on:

  • a review of our education and training standards
  • recent research on fitness to practise
  • our proposed 2026 to 2029 strategy
  • next steps in our approach to continuing professional development (CPD)

The day will run from 10am to 3pm, with arrivals from 9:30am. There will be networking opportunities and lunch.

Please note these events are for those aged 18 years and over.

Every day, social workers support millions of people to improve their chances in life.

Social Work England is a specialist body taking a new approach to regulating social workers in their vital roles.

We believe in the power of collaboration and share a common goal with those we regulate—to protect the public, enable positive change and ultimately improve people’s lives.
