How much does it cost to have my item looked at / repaired

It's completely free to have one of our skilled volunteers look at your item with you to see if it can be repaired and then, if it can, to attempt a repair. If you're happy with the event and can afford it, we would appreciate a donation to help with the costs of running these events.

Do I have to book via Eventbrite in order to come to the Repair Cafe?

No, you don't have to book. However, if you're bringing an item for repair then providing details of the item and the issue(s) with it when you book gives our volunteer repairers a chance to plan and to let you know in advance if this is something we're unlikely to be able to help with.
