We recently undertook a project to understand the role of social media in promoting social cohesion; as part of that developed a very successful Facebook page.
The funders of this project, the Arts Humanities Research Council, has funded us to run an event to share and develop what we learnt with YOU: community groups across Wales.
The aim is to produce practice guidelines that any group, small or large can follow. The event we are holding is to share experiences and information, build links and develop best practice.
The event on the 23rd and 24th of February 2015 will begin with a getting-to-know-you dinner on the 23rd of February followed by a workshop discussion from 10 – 5 on the 24th which will be a mixture of presentations, sharing sessions and practical activities. We hope that by the end everyone will have developed their capacities of groups large and small to use social media to link people together around whatever issue they choose. Travel expenses provided and accommodation if needed.
Funded places are limited so early registration is advised.
