About this event

Community • County

This is our monthly repair café running from 2-5pm at Makespace on Aristotle Lane. We are almost always able to offer electrical, sewing and bike repairs, and will add additional specialist repairs (eg books, watches, tool sharpening etc) as we confirm volunteers nearer the start of the event.

About this event

Bring along your broken items in need of repair and one of our fabulous volunteer repairers will take a look and - if possible - show you how they can be fixed.

Repair Cafés are free community events where skilled volunteers help people learn how to fix their own items to save them from ending up in landfill. The focus is on skill-sharing and an enjoyable ongoing learning process. If you'd like to learn how to do sewing or darning repairs yourself, or how to maintain your bike, please book yourself a slot and come along.

Tea and cake will be available. Our services are free but we do have overheads so donations to the SHARE Oxford charity are most welcome.

We kindly ask you book in a maximum of 2 items per Repair Cafe, as capacity is limited by the number of repairers, and we want to keep slots open for as many visitors as possible.

Please book your tickets here. If you find that all the slots are booked please email us at repaircafe@shareoxford.org to let us know what you'd like to bring along for repair and we can advise whether we are likely to be able to accept drop-in guests on the day.
