It’s a monthly creative gathering for anyone who may be grieving. We use collage-making as a gentle way to explore feelings and reflections in a supportive community space.

2.	Do I need to be “good at art” to join?

Absolutely not! No artistic skill or experience is needed, just a willingness to come as you are and to use the art materials.

3.	Who can attend?

This is an adult only space which is open to anyone who is experiencing grief - no matter how recent or long ago the loss. All experiences of grief are welcome.

4.	Why is the group for 18+ only?

This is an adult-focused creative space and to ensure the comfort for all, participation is limited to those aged 18 and over.

5.	Is this a therapy group?

No, this is not a therapy group. It’s a wellbeing space informed by art therapy principles which focuses on creativity, connection, and self-reflection.

6. What will we do in each session?

Each month we’ll spend time making collages from the materials provided. You may wish to talk about your artwork with another, or you may just wish to keep your artwork to yourself.

No. You can simply create in silence if you prefer as there is no pressure to speak.

All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring images, magazines, or papers that you may like to work with.

Each session lasts for an hour. However do come along early if you would like to purchase a cup of tea, slice of cake, or even lunch!

There is no cost to attend. This group is offered freely as a space for creativity and connection.

You will need to register your details in advance through Eventbrite for every ‘Shared Collaged Stories’ gathering you attend.

Accepted Answer

I ask for your GP’s details just in case I need extra support for your wellbeing. These are kept safe, private, and only used if truly needed to help keep you or others safe - always in line with UK data protection laws (UK GDPR).
