This event is for ONS staff only.

Brief description: An introductory course for SharePoint Site Owners that gives you the ability to create and permission a folder structure and maintain your team's SharePoint Sites and Libraries.

Learning aims & objectives: To give Site Owners the skills to maintain and administer your team’s SharePoint Sites and Libraries, and to play a role in the management of records in your business area. By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • create classes and folders so users can store their documents

  • create and maintain groups and their permissions

  • approve/deny access to information

  • override a checked-out document

  • find further help and support for Site Owners

If you are still new to SharePoint you can you update your basic skills through the SharePoint Help Pages and the Introduction to SharePoint slideshow.

Equipment: You will need to bring your laptop to the training session. If you work on a desk top please email the KIM team prior to the training and a laptop will be provided for you to use.
