Description

(This event is already sold out, and we have more tickets than places at the venue.  However, we usually see less than 50% of ticket holders attending the event.  If you have a ticket that you dont need please cancel your order.  If you dont have a ticket and would like to attend then we will be admitting people without tickets.  If you do have a ticket then please arrive early as there's an outside chance that the venue might be full.)

(Got it?  Great.  See you there)

We are back in action!

After a few months in wilderness we're back at Microsoft's shiny new London headquarters in Paddington and we've got more SharePoint 2016 and MVP goodness than you can shake a stick at. Numbers are strictly limited so grab your ticket whilst you can.

(And save the date because we'll be back again on November 24th!)

Our thanks to Toolagen for their support with the venue and to Application Performance for their support with the food.

Here's what you need to know:

18:00 - 18:30 - Registration and networking with everyone who's anyone in the London SharePoint world

18:30 - 19:30 - Modern SharePoint sites and the SharePoint Framework - Chris O'Brien (MVP)

Microsoft have started releasing their big wave of changes to SharePoint sites in Office 365 ("modern" sites). This affects end-users in terms of user interface changes, but developers too with the introduction of the SharePoint Framework. In this session we'll consider both perspectives - we'll take a quick look at some of the changes in SharePoint Online team sites (including those which have not yet landed), including a look at "modern" page editing and the new set of web parts Microsoft are working on. We'll also consider how this affects on-premises SharePoint going forward.

From there we'll switch to a dev perspective - we'll build a web part in the SharePoint Framework, and start exercising our TypeScript, Gulp, and npm knowledge. It's a brave new world, but if you want your web parts to work in the new user experience you have to get on board!

19:30 - 20:00 - Break and more networking

20:00 - 21:00 - Updates from Ignite and group discussion on future of SharePoint & Office365 - Ben Robb (MVP)

21:00 - whenever - The World Famous London #SharePint
