Sharing Hope in Crisis Training
Event Information
About this Event
Arc Spirit Cafe is delighted to host Nigel Fawcett-Jones, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) Rapid Response Team (RRT) Manager, in offering you Sharing Hope in Crisis training.
Everyone faces personal crisis or experiences grief sometime in life – whether it is the death of a loved one, illness, job loss or other issues. At a time when people need hope the most, many suffer in silence. Is God stirring your heart to reach out in compassion to hurting people in your community? The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association can help you learn to share the love of Christ with your friends, neighbours and colleagues during the tragedies of everyday life.
The one-day Sharing Hope in Crisis seminar is intended to prepare you to give effective spiritual care, and the practical skills to share God’s love and comfort with people in crisis. It is designed to help you how to be an active listerner, to know what to say—and what not to say—to someone facing difficulty and to compassionately share the love of Jesus Christ with those who need it most. Sharing Hope in Crisis is especially useful for counsellors, first responders, and church leaders who serve suffering people on a regular basis.

This Sharing Hope In Crisis training forms the basis of BGEA's Rapid Response Team training . The Rapid Response Team trains and develops teams of chaplains to give emotional and spiritual care in the aftermath of a disaster. Volunteer chaplains from the Rapid Response Team have responded to several crises both in the UK and on mainland Europe, sharing hope in seemingly hopeless situations.
