This in-person course for women in real estate teaches communication skills to help you be persuasive to achieve your aims while creating a win-win outcome for all. Join us to become more confident in voicing your opinions and influencing others.

The course will explore the psychology of social interactions and communications, in particular in business. It will provide participants with an understanding of why people do and don't engage and how to effectively respond. Advanced communication techniques will be shown, which will enable you to build trust and meaningful rapport with colleagues and help effectively influence your desired outcome.

The course will be delivered by Clare Samuels – one of the UK's leading experts in drama-based learning. Having spent 25 years running workshops for global companies, Clare is passionate about enabling her delegates to fulfil their potential. Using expert facilitation, actors and humour she provides an immersive, practical and memorable experience. As well as the theory behind the art of influencing, Clare will show through role play activities and actor led sketches, real life examples to illustrate effective techniques and show examples of best practice.

The course will cover the following topics

  • Practical tips on how to influence others effectively
  • Understanding why people do and dont engage with us
  • Knowing how to build meaningful rapport and trust with colleagues
  • Personalised feedback on how you come across to others
  • Advanced communication techniques to help you build trust while persuading others to achieve your aims

Course format

This course is open to women only and is limited to 9 participants to facilitate learning and engagement.

The format will be an interactive workshop led by our partners 'No "i" in Clare'. Comedy, fun and actors will be used to bring learning to life and recognise behaviours we need to change.

Our learning-by-doing methodology facilitates engagement allowing you to explore and test different approaches in a safe, yet challenging real-life environment. And best of all, it's going to be fun!

Following the course each participant will be offered a 30 minutes 1-1 follow up session via telephone/Zoom with the course leader, Clare Samuels. This session will provide an opportunity for personal coaching.

Clare Samuels has spent over 20 years in the world of Training, Learning and Development, and in Comedy/Theatre Land.

She combines her vast knowledge of people development, sharp observation skills and professionally-trained acting skills alongside her comedic talents to produce extraordinarily entertaining, engaging and successful training events.

Andrew Norris, actor and trainer

Andrew Norris who is a freelance actor, role player, facilitator and trainer. He is passionate about theatre and bringing his skills as an actor into the the workplace to help businesses and organisations create strong and positive working environments by enabling better and more productive human communication.

We have a particular focus on women and ethnic minority professionals of all genders but we also welcome individuals from other under-represented groups that wish to harness our platform.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you do not need to bring anything with you as we will have your details from the registration process.

Do participants have to participate in the role play/drama activities?

No, the drama is carried out by the course leaders, Clare and Andrew. No acting skills are required!

What's the refund policy?

Delegated can apply for a full refund up to 7 days prior to the event.

Refunds will not be issued for cancellation requests received less than 7 days prior to the event.

You can transfer your place free of charge to a colleague/peer at any point whilst the registration is open.
