Course objectives:

  • Define human factors and their impact on radiographic practice.
  • Explain the principles of a positive safety culture and how it influences patient outcomes.
  • Identify key teamwork dynamics that contribute to safe and effective imaging services.
  • Use the Service Animals tool to better understand communication and behaviours of self and others to support psychological safety and effective working
  • Apply practical strategies to enhance safety culture and teamwork in their workplace

The day will be hosted by Dr Darren Hudson, an experienced MR radiographer and Senior Lecturer who has worked across a range of healthcare settings. He will be joined by Naomi Burden, patient safety consultant and coach.
